Our website is hosted by Shopify, which provides the e-commerce platform that enables us to sell our products and services.

2. About Our Garments

Githerments creates handmade garments using a combination of reclaimed, vintage, deadstock, heirloom, and newly sourced materials.

Because many of our garments are made from reclaimed textiles:

• Signs of previous life, visible mending, fading, variations in texture, and minor imperfections may be present.
• These characteristics are considered part of the garment's history and character rather than faults.
• No two garments will be exactly alike.

We make every effort to accurately represent colours, textures, and details through photography and product descriptions. However, colours and appearance may vary between screens and devices.

3. Orders and Payment

All orders are subject to acceptance by Githerments.

Payment must be received in full before an order is processed unless otherwise agreed in writing.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order where:

• Product information contains errors;
• Payment cannot be processed;
• The product becomes unavailable;
• We reasonably suspect fraudulent activity.

If we cancel an order after payment has been received, a full refund will be provided.

4. Made-to-Order Garments

Our Core Range garments are made to order.

Product photographs represent the silhouette and style of the garment but may not represent the exact fabrics, trims, patchwork, embellishments, or finishes used in your piece.

Where fabric preferences are not specified, Githerments will select materials from our collection of reclaimed, vintage, deadstock, and heirloom textiles.

Because each garment is handmade, minor variations between garments are expected and form part of the nature of bespoke production.

Estimated production timeframes are provided as guides only.

5. Commissions

Commissioned garments are custom-made in consultation with the customer.

Commission discussions do not constitute acceptance of a commission until details, pricing, and scope of work have been agreed upon by both parties.

Where customers provide their own textiles, Githerments will take reasonable care when working with those materials. However, due to the age and condition of some heirloom fabrics, we cannot guarantee against deterioration, weakness, or damage resulting from their existing condition.

Commissioned garments are generally not eligible for change-of-mind returns once work has commenced.

6. Shipping and Delivery

We ship within Australia and internationally where available.

Delivery timeframes are estimates only and are not guaranteed.

We are not responsible for delays caused by postal services, couriers, customs processing, weather events, industrial action, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Risk in the goods passes to you upon delivery to the shipping carrier.

Customers are responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, or fees that may apply to international orders.

7. Returns, Refunds and Australian Consumer Law

Our Returns and Refunds Policy forms part of these Terms and should be read alongside them.

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) or any other applicable legislation.

Where goods supplied by Githerments fail to meet a consumer guarantee under the ACL, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, refund, or other remedy as provided by law.

Change-of-mind returns are subject to our Returns Policy.

8. Repairs and Aftercare

We believe clothing should be worn, repaired, and enjoyed for many years.

We may offer repair services for Githerments garments at our discretion.

Customers are responsible for the cost of shipping garments to and from our studio for repair work unless otherwise required under Australian Consumer Law.

Repair assessments, turnaround times, and any applicable costs will be discussed before work begins.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including but not limited to:

• Photographs
• Garment designs
• Illustrations
• Logos
• Text
• Graphics
• Product descriptions
• Branding

is owned by or licensed to Githerments and protected by Australian and international intellectual property laws.

Purchasing a garment does not transfer ownership of any intellectual property rights.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, sell, or commercially exploit any content from our website without prior written permission.

You agree not to use this website:
